Multi-Parameter Adaptive Notch Filter (MPANF) for Enhanced Interference Mitigation

Abstract Interference signals degrade global navigation satellite system (GNSS) performance and must be mitigated. Chirp can mitigated with an adaptive notch filter (ANF), but the dynamic behavior limits performance. An ANF determines instantaneous frequency removes interference a filter. However, there are several limitations. In this article, we propose multi-parameter (MPANF) approach that significantly enhances conventional ANFs. First, it uses loop-bandwidth control algorithm (LBCA) to alter loop bandwidth of frequency-locked (FLL)-based adaptation facilitate superior tracking agility-to-precision trade-off. Second, dynamically adjusts depth switch on mitigation or pass signal through. Third, modifies width accommodate stability optimize suppression GNSS removal. The presented MPANF exhibits against chirp signals, including faster response jump discontinuities.
